Organizational structure

Due to its simplicity, it is inherited from the responsibilities arising from its specific duties to allow optimal coordination of our activities and a response adapted to the needs of economic operators and partner administrations.

Governance

With the new Single Window for Foreign Trade platform, whose operation has been entrusted to SEGUB since July 2023, the roles of technicians and operational staff have become very prominent. Consequently, the organizational chart has been updated since September 2025 by decision of the Board of Directors.

Ministry of Living Environment and Transport (MCVT)

The Ministry of Living Environment and Transport, in charge of Sustainable Development, has the mission of defining, monitoring and evaluating the implementation and evaluation of the State's policy on housing, urban development and sustainable cities, geomatics, land use planning, sanitation, environment and climate, preservation of ecosystems, water, forests and hunting, land, maritime, river-lagoon and air transport as well as other infrastructure, in accordance with international conventions, laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Benin.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the supreme decision-making body of SEGUB. It defines strategic directions and oversees their implementation by the General Management. It is composed of representatives of the Beninese State, thus guaranteeing balanced and inclusive governance.

General Management

The General Management is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and the implementation of the Board of Directors' decisions. At its head is a Director General appointed by the Council of Ministers for a fixed term. Reporting to the Director General are the Assistant Director General, the Head of Procurement, the Head of the Procurement Unit, and various other departments.

Management Committee

The Management Committee meets weekly to coordinate SEGUB's activities and make the operational decisions necessary for its smooth functioning. It is composed of:

  • The Director General (Chairman of the Committee)
  • The Administrative Manager (Secretary of the Committee)
  • The Director of Information Systems
  • The Customer Support Manager
  • The Finance Manager
  • The Head of Accounting
